Coming to the altar; at the feet of Jesus.
Our precious Lord. Our Saviour.
Never able to get enough of His deep penetrating love.
Allowing the cleansing water of the Holy Spirit to wash the soul.
Getting a mental picture of the act of surrender and worship can aid in receiving an outpouring of His grace.
Head bowed. Hands held open. Surrendered.
I think about the heart of women in the Bible and the moment they laid all their will, emotions, and heart at Jesus’ feet.
In the past I’d stiff-arm reading their stories because of the ‘me’ that I saw in them. The mess of my emotions.
I realized that I never gave these women a chance to show me the end of their stories; the part where Jesus totally restored them!
There was now a quickening to see how fast I could get to that place of restoration.
- I’ve been Mary that sits at Jesus’ feet to learn from Him. Needing Him to feed that insatiable hunger for deeper knowledge of His word. (ref. Luke 10:38-42)
- I’ve been the woman with the issue of blood that knew that if she could just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment that she’d be healed. (ref. Luke 8:43-48)
I had issues, but it wasn’t necessarily a physical healing, but one of emotional healing.
- I’ve been the woman at the well who had Jesus tell her of all the things she’d be forgiven of if she accepted His everlasting, living water.
I was needing forgiveness of past sexual sin and being set free from the guilt and shame. I’ve been redeemed! (ref. John 4:7-26)
Jesus has changed my life!
He’s given us all a chance to receive His restoration. It’s perfected, whole, and is a life-giving source.
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:10
The enemy, dear sister, has stolen enough. There is restoration for the soul at the Jesus’ feet.
Will I see you beside me at His feet?
Meet with Him there.
